Der Danziger Textilschatz im Zeichen europäischer Freundschaft

Das St. Annen-Museum bewahrt als Dauerleihgabe einen ganz besonderen Schatz: Die Danziger Paramente. Dabei handelt es sich um 103 kostbarste textile Objekte für den Gottesdienst aus dem Besitz der Union Evangelischer Kirchen in der EKD (UEK), Hannover. In regelmäßigem Wechsel wird eine kleine Auswahl der wertvollen Stücke im Herzen des St. Annen-Museums präsentiert. Bei der Präsentation wird erneut großer Wert auf das Miteinander der Künste im Mittelalter gelegt. So zeigen die Gewänder gemeinsam mit Architektur, Glasmalerei, Malerei und Skulptur des 15. Jahrhunderts ein schönes und stimmiges Gesamtbild. Sie alle dienten dazu, den Gottesdienst als großes Fest für die Christen zu Ehren Gottes zu gestalten.
The St. Anne's Museum has a very special treasure on permanent loan: the Paraments of Gdask. These are 103 of the most precious liturgical textile items from the property of the Union of Protestant Churches in the EKD (UEK), Hanover. A small selection of these valuable pieces is presented in regular rotation in the heart of St. Anne's Museum. This presentation will once again place great emphasis on the interaction between the arts in the Middle Ages. The vestments together with the architecture, stained glass, paintings and sculptures from the 15th century create a beautiful and harmonious overall picture. The liturgical garments all served to make the service a solemn celebration for Christians in honor of God.
